Probiotics aid in gut health and we hear about all sorts of supplements that provide probiotics. I wondered if I could find probiotics in food and I was amazed with the answer. Fermented foods or cultured products provide the probiotic so it’s different kinds of food than we might be used to….or… we love these foods anyway and have enjoyed gut health without even knowing how we attained it. Hmmmm I fall into this camp. I love sauerkraut and pickles and Tempeh but there are also many many more options out there. I thought I’d supply a list and see if you like these foods or need to investigate these foods for your gut health. You might need more probiotic than any food provides for you so a supplement might be necessary. Your Gut and Your Doctor are the best resources for this answer. I starred which foods I eat on a pretty regular basis….what foods did you star?
